I have a long term plan to build up my own software company in IT industry. China has so many talents of software engineering, but China dose not own world famous software companies. While, India’s software industry have boomed up and cultivated many well-known native software firms, such as InfoSys and Satyam. On the other side, foreign software and solution companies, such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft ,almost occupied China’s software industry. Ironically, they hosted their R&D centers in China and hired a bunch of Chinese engineers. I aspire to take the responsibility to alter the situation and foster a world-class software service provider from China.
For this goal, first of all, I should build and sharpen my business capabilities before 35 years old. In Intel, I inspired my potential and learned a lot about various leadership styles, effective team work, customer orientation, and business operation. Especially, Intel’s open and global working environment cultivated me to be a pro-active and initiative guy with global thinking. However, only a MBA program can offer me systematic business management trainings to improve my general skill-sets of international business operation. Secondly, I need a business co-partner, who are smart and passion. In a top MBA school, it will be easy to get this task done. Thirdly, I should find out the venture capital to support the setup of my business. So I prefer study in US for my MBA program, where it is relatively easier to get capital support.

主要問題有幾大點
一是大陸與印度有這些趨勢 只是總體經濟面
跟您個人生涯的關係為何? 要有細部的個人動機結合
二是為什麼這樣的趨勢要由您來執行這樣的目標? 您有什麼個人能力或特別經歷與其他競爭者區隔?
為什麼十幾億人要由您來執行而不是別人? 您跟別人有什麼不同?這篇essay主要問題就是幾乎可以套在其他十億人身上,沒有很強的個人獨特性與區隔
三是沒有明確的細部目標與具體實踐方式
您講的方向很大 您有什麼細部目標與計畫
能一步一步將大方向目標完成? 必須要有break down細目
四是定義模糊
software太多了 您要講出是哪種software
而為什麼是這種software
市場在哪 為什麼有這市場? 可能因為某某趨勢或市場需求
您的公司要多大規模
資金來源為何...等等
這些基礎條件要先定義好之後
跟您現在的能力與資源有何差異
找出中間的gap以後才會具體知道需要加強哪些部分
是需要marketing?還是需要finance?還是需要entrepreneurship?
必須要把這些細目都定義清楚
才會發現是否欠缺MBA訊練 而需要的是MBA的哪些部份
又為什麼是UNC 非UNC不可
UNC強項並不在entrepreneurship
而是在marketing communication
而且非常強
但跟您本身的目標與現狀都還沒有任何證據能夠結合
您必須要將這些證據明確列出
才會有面試機會並且進而錄取
第五是對生涯未來有預設前提
為什麼會出現一個轉折點在三十五歲
不是三十三歲或三十八歲?
需要有個理由或證據 不能無中生有
然後回到定義模糊的問題
您所指的business capability是哪些
要有明細
您可以說需要有managing people & leadership能夠帶領企業團隊
要有marketing research能力才能知道市場在哪
要有finance basics and investment fundamentals讓您知道如何週轉資金
IT product development & project management讓您能夠開發新軟體產品
並且對產品開發做專案管理...等等
您下頭講到的這段就相當接近:

Supply chain has very broad application in real-world operations. Sourcing, procurement, logistics, transportations, lean productions, inventory management, assembly line...etc., you name it.
Basically from the manufacturing line til market, everything from outside the factory are related to supply chain. Automobile industry is a typical field to go. Also manufacturing industries. IT industry need it too.
You can go IT industry to consult them the efficiency inhancement on supply chain management.
For the H1B issue, it really depends on what specific skills or advantages over American MBAs you've got and what specific position and functionality the recruitor needs from you.
You may have some cultural or language advantage to help your future company grow. The American companies are more likely send you back to your country, while you can try the companies from your country but now based in the U.S. might be easier.

Hi All,I am a current first year student. I applied and was fortunate enough to be selected to be interviewed for one of JNJ's summer internship. However, I did not pass the sniff test as I do not have perm work authorization in the US. Doesn't matter that one could apply for CPT or whatever , since it's 'perm authorization't that they are looking for.The impression I get is that most int. students would end up with something that they do not really want to do. I am hoping that some of you out there would share your experiences and how you managed to get that internship.

no particular correlation among these 3 schools

It might mean that you can dig one step further to find your true fit

又等了五分钟，她把我叫到楼上去做一个5分钟的presentation，终于一切告一段落，剩下的就是等结果了。
下个星期还有一个UC Irvine的Interview, Crossing my fingure now...

背景：本科是国际金融和法律的双学位，毕业后直接进入了一家房地产咨询公司（美资的但ranking一般），已经工作三年了
目标：申请MBA（北美），top20，商学院毕业后转入投行工作（M&A）
困境：目前面临职业的重新选择，两个机会：一是仍然在本行业进入在行业排名第二的美资公司，方向略有调整从偏向于research转向投资，有点像Reits；二是进入本土一家中等排名证券公司的投行部
矛盾：第一种选择公司名气很大，而且职业的连续性比较好，申请时认为会为简历增光
第二种选择可以提前进入未来锁定的行业提前熟悉业务（不知商学院在录取或者投行在招聘时是否很关注这种密切相关的工作经验）

背景：本科是国际金融和法律的双学位，毕业后直接进入了一家房地产咨询公司（美资的但ranking一般），已经工作三年了
目标：申请MBA（北美），top20，商学院毕业后转入投行工作（M&A）
困境：目前面临职业的重新选择，两个机会：一是仍然在本行业进入在行业排名第二的美资公司，方向略有调整从偏向于research转向投资，有点像Reits；二是进入本土一家中等排名证券公司的投行部
矛盾：第一种选择公司名气很大，而且职业的连续性比较好，申请时认为会为简历增光
第二种选择可以提前进入未来锁定的行业提前熟悉业务（不知商学院在录取或者投行在招聘时是否很关注这种密切相关的工作经验）
急切需要大家的意见，一个人的想法难免狭隘、有失偏颇，大家有砖尽管拍我会尊重每个人的宝贵意见！先谢了！

心情很差。一切都因为起步太晚，但悔之晚矣！我准备从头再来。
我以前在中国做老师（8年），与business一点不沾边。来美国后生孩子在家待了几年，开始想学会计，现在决定学MBA或finance，总之想转行到商业。因为年龄大了，不想一拖再拖。前一段时间申请了UW，被拒，心里很失落，开始怀疑自己的能力和未来。但申请还得继续，因为我心中仍然有梦。
现在，要重新选择专业，规划未来。尽管是文科，但我喜欢数学。将来想做分析一类的工作，如金融分析。不知道选什么专业好？申请MBA都要想好短期和长期目标，我也不知道该怎么说，因为我根据自己的实际情况，没有什么宏大的远期目标，而是很实际地想做金融分析或任何一类的分析研究类的工作（financial cunsulting?）。但如果写essay这么说，肯定不会被录取啦。所以很彷徨，我该怎么办？恳请大家给指点迷津。
补充一点：我的GMAT670，想申请DC附近的任何过得去的学校，只求将来能完成学业，找份工作。

跟目前现状中间的gap刚好欠缺MBA的某些训练
自己功课都做好了才有能力念MBA

万事具备只欠东风
只缺一个MBA就能完成转职
但MBA之前的个人功课要先行完成
